The Old City Hall Gallery has commissioned John to sound design the
art installation, Portrait of Maquoketa, to be premiered in the Fall 2008.
The commission is made possible by a grant from the Iowa Arts Council
and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Oakwood Chamber players out of Madison, WI have commissioned
John as part of their upcoming 25th Anniversary Season celebration.
The new work for mixed chamber ensemble will be premiered in the
spring of 2009.
Poem for wind ensemble will be performed by the Hochdorf (Germany) Band,
under the direction of Sabine Gotze, on March 16, 2008.

Steven Dennis Bodner, music director of Symphonic Winds at Williams College, will be conducting Pater Noster with the Vermont Green Mountain District Festival Band on February 2, 2008.
